Water the ultimate resource. If you think there are unlimited water sources you have made a big mistake. Although 70% of earth is water, most of it is the ocean and only a small part is freshwater. But if there is so little what can we do to save it? That a very simple question. You can start by doing things at home like turning the tap off after use or when you bush your teeth, stop taking 30 minute baths and start collecting rain water for use. You can convince your neighbors to join you and help save water too. Get them to tell their relatives and hopefully they will also pass the message on to others. We need to start a worldwide movement to conserve the fresh water that we need.
In my research I found out people love to care for their gardens especially moms. My mom loves her garden but people use too much water in gardening. People just want to water the plant and water again and again. This can cause overwatering and kill the plants. The time of day also can effect how much water is actually being used by the plant. During the daylight hours or when it is really hot weather the water will evaporate too quickly and the plant does not get the water effectively. People should water in the evening to prevent too much evaporation. Also, when you water try not to use water from the tap instead try use rain water. If you have a house you could set up a rain collector to allow the rain to be stored and used later.
People around the globe should try to cut water use as much as they can. If we continue to save water there will be water for everyone. The poor, the rich and generations to come will have access to plenty of fresh water. Find new ways to save water and you will see that one person can make a big difference.
